Mr. Rick Thiessn has been involved in the agriculture and feedlot industry for more than 45 years. He has extensive knowledge regarding both the business intricacies and day to day operations of managing feedlots. A Business Administration degree and several years in the heavy equipment industry, coupled with being raised on a farm positioned Rick well for opportunities in the feedlot industry. Rick has also spent time on numerous boards and committees such as the Chairman of the Western Irrigation District, and the President of the Western Barley Growers Association. He also spent 5 years on the Board of Governors of the Winnipeg Commodities Exchange. Rick has travelled extensively throughout the world, learning from his travels and applying best practices into the farming and feedlot business when applicable.
Mr. Brent Chaffee has been actively involved with Strangmuir Farms home lot since Jan. 2003. A background in Chemical Engineering and working several years each in contaminated site reclamation, and managing an engineering group has provided Brent with a solid foundation to handle the personnel and production issues that arise in the operation of a large feedlot.
